This statistical research report presents developments that have taken place in relation to family formation and dissolution through an analysis of marriage and divorce indicators. Marriage, as recognized by the law of each country, has long been considered to mark the formation of a family unit. Recent demographic data show that the number of marriages per 1000 inhabitants has decreased within the EU-27 in recent years, while the number of divorces has increased – this has generally led to an increase in the number of children who are born to unmarried women.
Why Divorce?
There has been an increasing rate of separation or divorce among couples and this list will show you the top 10 countries with highest divorce rates in 2012.
Despite of the legal matrimony and orientation about the sanctity of marriage, whether it is religious based beliefs or principles in life, we could see that the values and morals for marriage relationships are being torn down.
The weakening effects of marriage can be seen in any form, wherein some reasons could be ruled down into four, such as adultery, where it includes extra marital affairs or unlawful sexual encounter or infidelity, domestic violence, addictions of any form, midlife crisis, and workaholic.
You may wonder that the civilized countries of the world are at the boom in the list of divorce rates.
They are running very fast to catch the materialistic gains and they are ignoring constantly the terms of ethics and the worth of human’s wants.
That’s why they are facing the bitter realities of harsh circumstances which are spreading so fast in the couples.
Although they are at the top in the rate of progress and development yet they are at the poor condition by the family systems.

Here are the top 10 countries with highest rates of divorce as per 1,000 people in 2012.
1.Russia

Russia is at the top in the countries which are at the boom in the rate of divorces in 2012. It has secured almost 530 divorces. Some of these divorces were become because they were based unfaithful and baseless married couples. In Russia, women have no actual existence that they want. They are bound to meet the expenses of their whole family instead of men. This thing brings a sign of hatred in them and as a result, they want to get rid of the responsibilities of their family by demanding divorce from their owners or husbands.
2.Aruba
Aruba is at 2nd number in my list. Here women have no actual importance to make a whole pleasurable family. Instead of normal marriage, Arubans preferred the same sex-marriages. This is the basic reason of increasing divorce ratio in Aruba. In Aruba, the divorce ratio has become at 527 in the whole country.
3.USA

Although USs is now a super power state all around the world, yet it is an ill-mannered nation as well because of the rude behaviour of the country fellows among themselves. The Americans are filled with hatred among each other and a passion of selfishness can be observed in even a daughter and her mother. That’s why the divorce rate has become up-grade in Americans. They have secured round about 419 divorces in 2012.
4.Panama
Most noticeable reason of up-coming divorce rate in this state is cheating. Once it was known as the divorce capital of the whole world. But now it is faced the un-successful marriage couples who are spreading a sign of ill-surety upon the minds of the up-coming breeds. It has secured 380 divorces in 2012.
5.Ukraine
It got 5th spot in my list. It said this state has very bad results in marriages just because of mischief and misunderstandings among the marriage couples. They are reached at the 379 divorces in 2012.
6.Belarus

Belarus is one of the European states. It is rich with agricultural machinery. They have collectively a handsome repute worldwide but individually, they are too much hearted and broken soul. They have secured 377 divorces in 2012.
7.Moldova

it has got 350 divorces around the state in 2012. One of the biggest reasons of divorces in this country is too much working of women. They are forced to do not only their office work, but also the house obligations when they return home after working in the office.
8.Cuba

The basic reason of highest rate of divorces in Cuba is the different languages and traditions. They have secured 316 divorces in 2012. They are too much ill-minded in the matter of family troubles to face and to become a helper of their ancients.
9.Czech Republic

it is said that this European state has long lasting effects and traditions of divorcing. The effects of this rubbish action is now spreading very fast upon the young new married couples and they do not care in lifting and giving divorces even at nothing. They have secured almost 311 divorces in 2012.
10.South Korea and Lithuania

South Koreans are not at least in the rate of divorces in 2012. They are at number 10th in my list and at internationally, they have faced very difficult circumstances in economic in 1997. The effects of these economical clashes spread a sign of hatred and selfishness among its breeds and now they have secured 305 divorces in 2012.

Why Divorce Rate is Low in INDIA?
There are some things where you wish your country should be at bottom of the list, divorce is one of them. Glad to see India is still among the lowest Divorce rate countries in the world. A surprising 1st place goes to Sweden (unfortunately followed by United State); while an even more surprising last place can be awarded with honour to the 1.2 billion people of India. Interesting to see India’s neighbour – Sri Lanka also has lowest divorce rates.

One of the reasons about low divorce rates in India is probably culture (Hinduism) which teaches -“Marriage is a lifetime union of not only two souls but also of two different families/generations (Bride’s and Groom’s side) and their blessings/attention/opinion/guidance matters in a successful marriage”.

Also, Hindus traditionally follows some basic rules like:

·         One Life One Wife (Inspired from Lord Rama’s life story)

·         Karma /Dharma towards family & society

·         Family which lives/eats together stays together

·         Consider Gross income of family rather than focusing on individual’s income (this avoids conflicts between couples or other close family members)

·         Family first, self-interest later

·         Maintaining harmony

·         Taking parent’s/elder’s (both side) opinion in major family decisions

·         Saving money or investing together for future crisis (Land/ House/ Gold/ Silver/ Diamonds)

·         Responsibility or upbringing of Kids together (they need love from both)

·         Avoid being Spendthrift/Careless (not just about money but also other natural resources)

·         Staying away from Alcohol/Smoke/Bad habits as it spoils married life/family

·         Parental (both sides) guidance/moral support/counselling  if there are frequents fights between husband-wife

See these core Ideals of Hindu/Indian marriage, which are probably helping in making marriage bond stronger in Indian system.
Hindu culture teaches Adjustment/Sacrifices for sake of family/Tolerance/Patience/Respect/Karma philosophy/
Dharma principles/ how to dilute yourself in crowd/ Loyalty/Duties towards kids, parents, relatives/Commitment/Sense of Belonging/Responsibility of family members/Hierarchy in family/Understanding others point of view even though you disagree.
Psyche arise from these teachings is probably helping men-women to stick to one marriage even though there some differences in opinion among husband and wife – which generally happens over the period.

Hindus outside India also follows the same pattern:

Not only in India but Hindus settled or married to others have low divorce rates! US Hindus have lowest divorce rates compared to US national rate. Report further says, 79% of Hindus are married and US average is 54%. Hindus have lowest divorce rate of 5% (lowest among any community in US) compare to US national average of 12%. According to another survey, the Hindus have highest educational level and lowest divorce rate in US.
Although during the last few years, the divorce rate has slightly increased in India but still it is not very high compared to other countries in the world.

World Divorce rate Statistics. Also see Facts about Marriage and Divorce Statistics in European countries. Ireland and Italy are probably only countries with lowest divorce rates in Europe.
